I was wondering how it turned out for you. Sorry to hear you're still having problems, but I do have another idea. Is your motor level? I put my Orbe motor on some uneven rubber washers (budget isolation) and got speed variance at regular intervals. Fixed it by getting some even sized washers. Seems I also remember previous posts here about speed problems related to off-kilter Michell motors. Bubble levels are cheap at the local hardware. Might be worth a try.
