Welcome Licorice Pizza (LP) lovers! Setup guides and Vinyl FAQ.

Her first name was Judy

The woman who propounded that nonsense. And she got a respectful hearing at either Stereophile or The Absolute Sound. Neil Levenson, erstwhile audio reviewer for Fanfare and (briefly) TAS, was an ally and believer. Her thing was that playing digitally-produced LPs would create "microcracks" somewhere on the turntable -- bearing? spindle?

It was a total hoot. She was very earnest and convinced. Believe she had an advanced degree or SOME credentials. Took a while for reality to set in (in the audiophile community, not in her). Wonder whatever happened to her.

Surely someone here can come up with her last name.
