Elizabeth- 15 or moreyears ago before the audio magazines went corporate there were some serious delusional (wacko) writers
Enid Lumley and others, and they'd on occaison come up with off the wall stuff that would send you running to the can, or leave you with a sideache from the hysterical laughter. One of the deals was if you should plug your system into east/west or north/south outlets or which sounded better electrical current derived from hydroelectric,
coal or nuke sources. And even periods of no HiFi interest would find me buying The Absolute Sound and stereophile just for the laughs
I looked at as a form of emotional stability type slumming.
I still find much enjoyment from some of the psuedoscientific BS marketing claims from some of the more avaricious advertisers and the pomposity of some of the writers, but it's not like the good old days.
