Dear JD,
I was lucky enough to buy up about two quarts of D4 a couple of years ago and I use it before playing disks. The records had been cleaned prior to storing in a much more careful way using a DIY wet and vacuuming process that I have developed. You mention Photoflo as an ingredient and it is a necessary ingredient in order to break the surface tension etc. I have, with help from chemist friends, developed a solution for this wet cleaning which works for me. I do remember several threads in this room for a new formulation and I try to keep up as best I can.I find that by using the DW before playing and my own "home brew" for soiled records before storing works well. Do your homework and good luck!
