seems I have a winner, the record has only light scuff marks as might happen with using a paper sleeve.
however, I did notice some residue transported from the poly lined paper sleeve I had put it in, said to be an artifact of poorly incorporated anti- static chemicals that eventually leech out over time.
I'll see if it cleans off with my newly acquired ultrasonic machine, but I haven't played the record in recent memory, and certainly not since I upgraded to my end of upgrades record spinner .
it seems that, unbeknownst to me, the convenient and long vanished used record store that I used to take a pleasant bike to visit was into choice pressings of old jazz records, because so many have the stores price sticker still on them . I just wanted the music , and will be bummed to find that I inadvertently damaged the stuff when I "upgraded" from the original inner sleeve, which I always kept.
the records are are jumbled up from a move, and I will have to go back and find all the suspect sleeves to check for damage, because the defective sleeves probably all came from the same batch.
