Was an early jazz purchase when I started college. Along with Columbia's Big 3 -- by Miles, Mingus, and Brubeck.
A year or so later I went to see Jamal in concert. He didn't like the piano and after a couple false starts gave up and walked off stage. I no longer remember if we even got refunds! But I've enjoyed that album for years.
