..give it plenty of break-in time, perhaps as long as 50 hours or more before making an assessment on the sound and other factors. Proper set-up is important from the beginning!
My old SAE NOS took a long time and it rewarded me very well on a second table.
It comes close, very close, to the sound of my Talisman Sapphire NOS after break-in and fooled me many times. These are no longer available, but follow the worthy suggestions given for choices.
