The essence of WH is the wonderful atmospheric guitar and piano music as mentioned by others here. Beautifully played and sensitively recorded.
If you want to move beyond that, Mark Isham's "Vapor Drawings" is still a jaw-dropper even after 40+ years. Also, the brilliant steel pan player Andy Narell with his virtuoso band cut several sides on WH, all highly recommended, but different from the "house" WH sound.
