Spinning: "In the Dark," Grateful Dead

I read an article of a new In the Dark Grateful Dead "audiophile" reissue from Rhino. While the reissue sounds like it would be nice the article got me to look at my LP collection and there was an original '87 "issue" (not reissue) of the LP. And sure enough it's a great LP and good sounding, too.

According to Analog Planet this is the Dead's best selling LP ever and is considered their "hit" album. I don't know about that, but it's a fine collection of tunes.

It's great fun listening to the Dead on vinyl. I'm going to have to spend the day lost in the Dead.

I've been trying to divide my listening between Streaming, CDs and Vinyl. The convenience of digital music is sure a draw it's easy to get stuck in the stream, but the sound of my analog system is wonderfully pleasing.
