While the cartridge connector clip is attached to the cartridge. I know it may be tempting but if you ever seen how small the wiring is in a cartridge, you know this is not wise to do this.

The Tech should have known this. Hopefully the cartridge is not damaged or depending on the cost of the cartridge it could be an expensive mistake.
