As one who is running a high compliance cartridge, when they were in their heyday, tonearms got very light. Some even spindly, for the more is better crowd, who followed the idea to the extreme .
Then moving coils found favor, and that type of stiff suspension energy just couldn't be controlled with low mass popular arms.
Since a historical arm was selected, it would seem a cartridge from that time would be appropriate, but I don't know of many old designs beyond the suggested Spu and Denon.
I assume the poster knows as well as myself that without height adjustment, modern tip shapes are non starters, which is my only suggestion.
