No experience with the iPhone level.
But I don't like bubble levels, meaning the round flat type. I have two, one about the diameter of a dime, the other about the size of a quarter. Supposedly both intended for turntable use. Both lack resolution.
Instead I use a straight level about 4" long or another about 10". I found it most accurate to align them with the cross section of the table feet, whether 3 or 4. And align them with each cross section.
