The nearest I came to a real comparo was an AT 120 vs AT 440MLa. Both carts had the same sound except the MLa had a lot more detail. At the time, I preferred the 440 but could easily have lived with the 120.
Opus 33 1/3, inmate who used to post here a lot, loved the 120 but hated the 440. He lent me his 120 to try out.
If you're thinking about the 530, IMO, you'll be happy with it and you could spend two or three times more and do worse.
