A day after I wrote about the Schiit Skoll, my SPL Phono left channel went out when it was in standby mode. I'm talking it into the service center in Vegas and we'll see what the technician has to say and what they find.
The Phono has plug in modules so hopefully in the future I or the new owner can just order one and simply just plug it in a go.
I'm just rolling around if i want to deal with this again, too much money for a lemon. Others that have this Phono preamp have had no issues with it.
Right now, I'm really enjoying my old ECP-1 MC/MM that I upgraded/modded. It takes a few days to settle in and come to life but so far, it has more depth than the Phono and a tad more warmer very musical. I just miss the extra gain that the Phonos has which is around 50db in MM. The ECP-1 has 35 in MM mode and 73db in MC mode.
