I'll keep my eyes open for that review.

As for the inherent problems you mention, such as "...the bearing is not offset so the azimuth is going to shift as the arm rises and falls on a warp or you use a different record thickness", I use a VinylFlat for warped records and I use platter mats to maintain a fairly consistent record surface height.

But the other problem, that the anti-skate tension "...relies on the arm suspension providing the necessary torque" would dissuade me from buying that 'arm. At least until an anti-skate mechanism is incorporated.

But I'm not really wanting to replace the SME 309 so it's more out of curiosity than need. :-)
