RE: how many were sold at 895 and how many do they expect to sell at 60k?? any ideas anyone? /nt

How many at $60k? 250 - that's how many they say they'll make, and I imagine eventually they'll sell all of them.

I have no idea how many they sold in the early days. I have an LP12 from about 1980 (that I upgraded with the Valhalla power supply) that still runs, and I can't think of something I can afford that I'd really rather have.

That said, one online calculator (see below) says $1 in 1983 is worth $3 today, so that $895 would be approximately $2700 today. And I think an LP12 is probably competitive at $2700 today. Above that price? Well, I can't afford $2700, so there's my answer.
