sure, staring a records while they play has always been an attraction that wears quickly, but one might also say playing records is, in itself, a novelty pastime, since the format is generally recognized as obsolete, if one wanted to start a discussion.

I think the tracking mechanism must be close to what the laser players are using, except laser players require a pretty flat record, and the wheel player doesn't. perhaps these guys might one day make a laser player that will track all kinds of records They seem to be very interested in product development.

I think it ships with a clear record , possibly for set up.
