RE: DACs ... My Topping E30 Experience

The E30 isn't bad IMHO but I have had a few DACs that sound better to me including:

- Topping D90 [AKM version]
- RME ADI-2 DAC FS [AKM version]
- Benchmark DAC 3 B
- PS Audio NuWave DSD DAC [discontinued]*

* 7 Years old and still one of my favorites. I still have it and it's back in my system along with the RME ADI-2 DAC FS.

I also had a few other DACs that I didn't care for so much so these might be a toss up vs the E30. Again, personal preference not favoring:

- Denafrips Ares II
- Chord Qutest
- Chord Mojo

The Topping E30 wasn't sufficiently "robust" or lacked "weight" in the lower mids and bass for my taste. Additionally it wasn't quite as dynamic as my other DACs.

The link below shows the E30 in my office setup a couple years ago. I still own the E30 and tried it in my main basement system as well.
