Finally- a record brush I like!

Most dry record brushes do not do a great job removing dust. Just examine the record closely after brushing and it's obvious some dust remains, often a lot. The brush I ended up with that did the best job is pictured above. You've all seen them. The bristles are very soft and do not damage the record. I just use a quick swiping motion from the label towards the outside of the record as it turns. With the AQ brush, one holds it on the record while the record turns and swipes it off. Inevitably some dust gets left under the brush. With this brush there is much less chance of this because you are swiping outward as the record turns. Of course, no brush will be effective without a wet cleaning to eliminate static. And the anti-static effect will last a long time. Trying to remove dust from a record, even a new one that has not been wet cleaned, is a thankless task.

This topic seems like such a small matter. Why would anyone care? And yet there are volumes on the internet about this very topic. I feel very guilty even spending time on this when I could be doing something important. Like watching Karens on YouTube!

By the way, it's called the Facmogu LP Cleaning Brush. I got it on Amazon. Don't ask me where they got THAT name!
