I loaded my stand with sand last night. It took about 50 lbs.
The result with the stand and now filled with sand is less (actually no surface noise) now, better imaging, more depth. Virtually can't tell if mute on of off.
I have the VPI Flywheel but not using now; what type of larger top-plate material can I make to enable the larger width ( 30" )needed to use Flywheel .
