Yes, Alejandro is on the first one, 'Sundown'. After that he decamped to the True Believers. 'Sundown' is a joy to listen to for its simplicity, lack of studio gimmickry and very strong songwriting. 'Lucky Day' which is a Kinman & Kinman original is one of the most poignant country songs that has ever been written. It's a real tear jerker. It's a pity they didn't continue in that vein although 'Long Gone Dead' does to an extent, but it's not as natural or organic in terms of the way that the songs are treated in the studio. But yeah, the Kinmans were the real deal. I believe that Tony passed away a number of years ago. Chip is still active or at least was, as far as I know. I never quite got into their Cowboy Nation project which proceeded Rank & File, but I have two CDs, the eponymous 'Cowboy Nation' from 1996 and 'Journey Out of Time' from 2000. I was visiting family in Phoenix, AZ around 2000 and I saw where they were doing a show there at The Rhythm Room around about the time of my stay. I emailed them and got a response to the effect that they would be delighted if I could make the show. As it turned out, I didn't actually make the show. Phoenix is a huge city by Irish standards and I think it may have been 60 miles away from where I was staying in Mesa. They sounded like very nice people though and I still love and cherish their music!
