Back in the late 70's while attending college I remember going to a local bar with my girlfriend and listening to this great band playing music I'd only heard occasionally on the radio. They played a few times at this one place and we made sure to show up when they were in town. Turns out it was The Cars before they'd even released an album. Fun to dance to so my girlfriend liked them and they always put on a good show. Not sure who it was at the time but one of the lead singers (Ric or Ben) came and sat at our table while they were taking a break. Fun times.
