I wouldn't be rushing out to buy a new motor until you've checked through everything else first. I'm with Pete on this in that the typical wow levels of a good drive system are not going to be seen with a strobe unless there is a serious mechanical problem .
If you don't have a test disc and suitable equipment to record the test tone or analyse the signal in real time, you can download an app to your smartphone - there are apps for both iOS (RPM) and Android (RPM Speed & Wow). These will use the internal sensors of your phone and estimate the peak to peak wow and flutter levels. You need to use them with care - place the phone such that the centre of mass is over the spindle and you should get accurate results. You won't be able to make a direct comparison to the spec of the turntable because the averaging and weighting is according to different standards, but you can get the waveform, see the peak to peak wow and the speed error all from a free app.
If you are hearing audible flutter or wow, then the other thing to check is if the record you are playing is correctly centred - very often the holes are off centre.
Also if the cartridge is not an ideal compliance to the effective mass of the arm, then the LF resonance (which modulates your recovered signal) can cause audible wobbles in the sound.
If the compliance is too low such that the LF resonance is near the bottom of the audible range then you will hear what sounds like flutter. If the compliance is too high and the cartridge is visibly jittering up and down then you will what sounds a bit like wow.
If the mechanical match of the cartridge is fine, and the app shows that your deck is running smoothly, then it may be that you are just very sensitive and need to consider a direct drive instead like an SP10R! A new motor is unlikely to change things without a special waveform synthesised drive signal and special power supply for the motor. The original Linn Lingo did just that and made some useful improvements to the basic LP12.
