This would never presume that the headshell of an integrated turntable would constantly be perfectly parallel to the platter..... I've seen too many such examples that are "off"..... (The arm base or the cartridge would need a "shim" to dial this in, if the azimuth is otherwise "fixed.")

That's his choice.....
"I never worry about azimuth."
That's a choice too.... I personally think the azimuth being slightly "off" would compromise the presentation. (This is why I've never liked playing LPs that have "dish" warps.)
