Just to make you feel better after my and flood2's comments below, that Orbe record flattener is available here in the UK. Assuming that it is the bottom of the range model it is the equivalent of $1660 here. If you bought the model that will also cope with discs without Groove Guard ( e.g DMM pressings),that one is the equivalent of $1930.
At $1260 all in you can still smile as far as I am concerned.
In any case "Free Shipping" is an illusion unless the vendor is crazy. All it means is that you are paying extra in the headline price to cover the shipping. Remember the old cliche " There is no such thing as a free lunch".
