Okki Nokki what a mess...

All I wanted is a good affordable RCM and the new Okki Nokki One seemed to check all the boxes in what I wanted.

First goofup, me going through True Audiophile as they advertise on their website: "We will be getting the majority of the first shipment and are the largest seller for this record cleaner. Your best bet to get one until they are plentiful is through us."

So I get on their wait list and it doesn't make sense to me that Okki ships to the importer then True Audiophile, then to me for an additional shipping fee then just me ordering direct from Okki and the importer ships directly to me. Whatever, I get on the list as I want to be sure to get one and also support a dealer.

My emails from True Audiophile contain sentences that make no sense, is the person drinking when they wrote it?

Third thing, I decide to forego dealing with Tru Audiophile as Okki Nokki still has a few units left for direct pre order, I don't think the whole shipment is really bad. I place my order with Okki, pay and get a confirmation email. I am feeling good now, I can almost see the Okki in me house!

Fourth event, I get an email from Jason at Vana LTD, the US distributor for Okki Nokki. Jason confirms that there is minor shipping damage but it is just cosmetic and the units are fully functional. At this point I am asked if I would like a refurbished unit at a discount, or a refund. I told him I am fine with a refurbished unit, he send me a link of the units and photos.

I now wait 4 business days and reach out back to Jason at Vana and no reply. I then try to reach Vana by email and phone, just crickets. I look at my order on the Vana website and it now shows canceled on March 29th? I am like WTH Vana, I never asked to cancel, I just wanted a RCM I was even fine with a few scratches?

The worst part is that they ignore any emails and contact so I have now idea what the heck happened? As the young peeps say, I got ghosted by Okki and Vana.
