Another opinion on HK Cit 12

I built a Citation 12 kit to power my Large Advents, maybe around 1973. I thought it was a great combination, very clean and powerful with good bass control and satisfying dynamics.

Then I changed to a Double Advent system and the Citation didn't do so well with that. In fact it shut down after a couple of weeks. I suspected it was not comfortable with driving the lower impedance load, some amps are like that.

As I recall J Gordon Holt included the Citation 12 in his recommended list. Back then his list had meaning. ;^)
