RE: My first... and last Milty.




I have an original Zerostat but I got this Nagaoka Kilovolt back in the 80s and it's much better at dissipating static. It uses a C cell, which I change religiously every few years and, according to their marketing blurb, creates 1000 volts of static electricity of the opposite charge. Whatever. It works like crazy. I have waved it over my cheap golf shirts that build up static every time I put one on and the static is gone.
Used on records, a quick wave around the surface from about 8 to 12 inches out will completely neutralize static. Dust and the occasional pet hair will fall off the record surface.
