Turntable feedback - any isolation solutions that WORK?

Have you tried anything that actually WORKS in eliminating turntable feedback?

Denon DP-45F with DL-301 MKII cartridge.

Also - Oracle Alexandria MKII which IS NOT vulnerable to feedback (has built-in spring suspension)

The Denon DP-45F is placed along a wall, 5 feet in front of a Klipsch Cornwall speaker. However, the problem occurs regardless of placement. The turntable is resting on a 2 ft. x 2ft. 20 lb. provincial table.

When placing the stylus on the non-moving record, feedback builds - starts quiet, then builds to a loud volume (you know--feedback). This happens whether the record is spinning or not. It occurs whether using a step-up transformer or active MC preamp.

There are many solutions on the net, but few directly discuss feedback. It could get very expensive very fast to try them until I find one that works.

Thank you for your...feedback!?

Adam
