Not sure how it happened, but my tracking force was low. Fixing that immediately solved the issue. I haven't adjusted the table since I moved over a year ago.
I'm more pleased that it was NOT an issue requiring a rebuild than I am disappointed in not being able to figure out how this could have happened.
As for problem #1....
Everything points to an issue with tonearm wiring. The single, clear channel jumps to the other side when I swap the L-R signal and ground connections at the head shell.
I cannot figure out how I get sound from BOTH channels (plus the hum) if I swap ONLY the L-R signal connections at the head shell.
This is a Dynavector mono cartridge, for reference.
