..I'm sorry it took so long to find this; I'm slow at times. OK, all the time!I have the 1939 Toscanini recordings of Beethoven Nine Symphonies on vinyl. I haven't listened to all the records yet; actually I haven't listened to any of 'em yet. I'll give 'em a listen, hopefully soon.
The pamphlet that that came with the set says that that Toscanini also recorded the cycle in 1944. I suspect that my 78 recording of the Fifth may be from 1944.
I got the album cover pictures reversed; sorry about that.
I also the Toscanini Beethoven symphony cycle in a fancy set recorded between November 1949 (the year I was born) and November 1952.
