Gents & Gals ... I'm attempting to resurrect my Dad's old Bic 960 along with his Pioneer SX-750 amp - his Vinyl collection (was) pretty awesome; from ELO to Cream to Zeppelin, he has a few hundred records all in original sleeves /packaging.
He passed rather rapidly and unexpectedly last December so my opportunity to get re-acquainted with his music collection wasn't possible. I vaguely remember the basics of records from my young childhood days and just as most did, somewhere around the early 90s the BIC went back into the box.
I did attempt to try it before starting this thread ...reached out to Doug - I decided to give everything a basic look over, wipe down and give her a shot.
Everything powered on, amp works great but Bic table doesn't spin. When powering it on, the I hear noise from the motor below deck, it starts to spin (makes noise) but nothing more.
I should preface - I'm a clueless 40 year old. Zero musical knowledge or depth. My daughter and I want to listen to my dad's old music is what it really boils down to... IF it's on this BIC, great. Ideally we use the Pioneer SX-750 too - just for vintage cool points.
I do need to pick up a set of speakers - Polk T15's maybe?

Any direction and opinion is welcome - I'm in the dark at the moment.

Skills - I am capable with visual direction of taking down and repairing most things (diesel trucks, guns, RC cars) but I don't want to ruin a cool old turntable if I can avoid it.
