for the TurtleFirst it´s price was $699, and altogether with other Jasmine models (Tiger, Dragon) were considered Koetsus contendors a 1/10 the price. Price raised to twice somehow and it was very hard to me (three years) to find a preowned I got for $600. At this moment (02-04-2020) there are two new units for $610/each at ebay and the rest for $1310.00 (!!!???). Apart from this all I can say is this cartridge putted me on the level I only dreamed before (previous cartridges: Shure M111HE, Grado Prestige Black, Ortofon X5MC). Ultrawide, tall and deep soundstage with easy micro detail resolution of every instrument (plenty of room for them all), beautiful timbres and surprising textures, etc. And guess what: extreme low surface noise (even when there is total detail !!!) and a solid rock black background due to it´s porcelain body I suppose.
Product Weakness: Hard to find preowned (cheaper). Stated break in time 20 hours. Mine said to have 150 hrs and is just ending break in time. Product Strengths: All of them. Associated Equipment for this Review:
