The TD150mk2 is superior to the 160 IMHO. The old motors were better than the new ones. I've had a TD166 with a TD150 motor, very quiet. The 125 is a different beast, built heavier, with the motor on the bottom and the main bearing on the upper chassis on top of springs. The other way around.
All in all i like Thorens for classical, for "drum and bass music"i prefer DD or idler wheel drive TT.
