Actually, the TD-150 pre-dates the TD-160.
I guess you could say that the TD-150 was the compact, lower-cost alternative to the TD-125 in the same way that the TD-160 was a lower cost alternative to the TD-126.
The TD-150 is the design upon which the Linn LP12 and Ariston RD-11 were based.
When you look inside the TD-150, the similarity with the LP12 is surprising; similarly, the TD150 shares many of the upgrade options that the LP12 has - EG plinth, power supply etc.
