John, I assume at your price you did the building. I'm a combination of incompetent and lazy so I had Don do the building along with all his recommended parts upgrades and nice wooden case. My price was about (see below) out the door. I feel the price was well worth it and I know it sounds better than a couple of other retail alternatives.For those willing and handy, by all means go the kit route.
EDIT: the price I paid was a bit over $1,200, not $2,100. Thanks to M3 Lover for catching my mistake.
