While I always enjoy seeing the tremendous variety your collection can bring fourth, this recording is so strong, that , by itself, could be used as a good reason to get superior playback equipment.

I liked his set in the Last Waltz movie. To be a standout in that crowd............., it's got to be Van the man.....Van the man ....As the announcer decries, bringing him offstage. Mr cosmic cool doing high leg kicks as he exits to cheers........

I heard his audience digs that he charges high ticket prices, not a party crowd. Sounds a little pretentious , if he didn't deliver the goods. The last I heard, years ago, $375 was the cheap seat. Thank goodness for records.
