My Thorens TD-125 Woes Are Over

A few weeks ago I posted that I purchased a TD-125 from Ebay and the motor shaft was bent. I contacted him on this and he gave me a $100. credit. I found a motor on Ebay that was %200. so I figured we would split the cost. Turns out the motor was for a MK 1 and mine is a MK 2. They are not interchangeable. So I found another NOS one for $400. No way I could pay that price just after spending money to buy the TD=125. So I gave the seller a positive feedback because he partially solved the problem. I made a new arm board to fit my Fidelity Research FR-54 and mounted it. After having everything together I started it up. The platter was wobbling, turns out the sub-platter was warped. Thats when I posted here and one of our members pointed me to a TD-125 platter and sub=platter for sale on Ebay. I was in no mood to spend $300. after just spending $500. for the table. But it bit my lip and purchased it. I got curious and emailed the seller if he had a motor. He said yes but it was frozen. I told him I would give him $35. thinking I could take it apart and use the motor shaft. Well all the parts came, the platter and sub-platter were straight, no problem. When I unwrapped the motor it was not frozen. The thing to do now it test it electrically. IT WORKS! The other plus side is he didn't charge me for the motor. If you have read this whole story bless you...
