The high level test bands on the HFN test disc may not result in a lack of buzzing. Such bands represent a worst case scenario which on real music discs may be rarely met and, if so, only for a fraction of a second.The correct anti- skate adjustment should give equal buzzing on both channels at the highest level when not exceeding the cartridge manufacturer's maximum recommended VTF.
I should add that the M44 series were not designed to faultlessly track " torture" tracks. Shure produced a special top of range cartridge for that, the V15. So the maximum VTF for the M44 is not based upon super high level test tracks. It is the maximum force to track what Shure no doubt considered as typical high levels cut on average music discs.
