I'm sure your setup sounds awesome, that's not the issue at all. My digital sounds quite good, I spent a lot of time tweaking it etc. And the hi-res digital download of "Band on the run" sounds very good also... Until you play the vinyl!

After you hear it on the vinyl, going back to the hi-res playback forces me to notice that something is amiss. Maybe it's down to my digital chain not being able to match my analog chain, I'm not sure.

Overall, I have spent a lot of time tweaking my digital transport (logging in to the box and modifying the Linux config parameters). My goal was to configure the digital transport so that the playback approximates the vinyl. And I was satisfied with the results, until, again, I compared it side by side with the real thing.
