RE: Entry level turntable and phono amp?

The Planar 2 (the new one) looks to be a good starter turntable. I've included a link below to What Hi-Fi's review, and they like it. I actually have the ORIGINAL Planar 2, now 38 years old. I have replaced the motor and tonearm (with an RB300), and changed the bearing oil ONCE after 25 years of service. Some day I may also replace the bearing/subplatter with the Groovetracer kit. I assume you will be using the Carbon MM cartridge that comes with the Planar 2. It has also been favorably reviewed and should be fine, although the cartridge is probably something you will eventually want to upgrade. I'm using an Ortofon 2M Blue on my (original) Planar 2 now.

As for the Cambridge Audio CP2 phono amp, that looks to be very nice with many positive reviews. I had to do a double take on the price - only $200!

I don't have any hands on experience with either of these 2 products but it looks like you have done your homework and you should be happy with these. Just remember to eventually look at upgrading the cartridge. The nice thing about the CP2 is it will allow either MM or MC cartridges.
