RE: My B, S & T Bloodlines box set arrived yesterday

Hey Ed, that's very cool! I just read the notes about the box set. It's great that they were able to sign DCT to write some history. I have his autograph from 1969 somewhere in a box of memorabilia, when I was a rabid fan of B,S&T.

Sometime in the spring or summer of 1969, my trumpet instructor at the time, Paul Smoker (who passed away last May), transcribed Lew Soloff's famous trumpet solo in "Spinning Wheel". I never could play it well, but it's great to have it! You may or may not know that Lew passed away from a heart attack in March of 2015. He was a great musician and a great guy. He was only 71.
