Just out of interest, how consistent are the lacquers in thickness? One would expect small variations which the cutting engineer would have to compensate for and one wonders how accurately they can determine the thickness - presumably the lathes have an accurate micrometer adjustment?

The specification of 0 to 5 degrees presumably is the "effective" SRA taking into account springback?

No wonder some cutting engineers etch their name into the leadout groove!
