And compression and limiting and ....etc.

When a mastering engineer get a master tape/file to master (digital of analog) he is going to mess with it.

Every release of a particular album sounds different, digital...analog.... it makes no difference......he's going to mess with it.

There is no such thing a a straight transfer from the master tape/file that has been released to the public.

They have all been messed with.
