ADCOM HC EII

I bought this as NOS a few months back and after playing with a Benz ACE for a while, and not being completely satisfied, put this cartridge into action.

I bought this to revisit my youth, having bought one back in 1988, or so. I ran it on a Dual cs5000. At the time, this was suppose to be my last turntable. You know, cds and all.

Fast forward to today and, well, this is one capable cartridge from top to bottom. It was easy to set up, although the cantilever is short, so good eyes are needed. But, right out of the box I am really impressed with its sound. It highlights vocals well but not too much, ala, horn speaker. And, not at the expense of top or bottom extension.

After weeks of fidgeting with the ACE it is certainly nice to just install a cartridge, have nice sound, sit back and listen and be done with it.

I highly recommend this cartridge, although, I feel finding a NOS like mine is a rare find indeed.

If I only knew back in 1988 what a screaming great value I had, or if I only had as good of a system that I have today it might not have ever left my home. Well, it's back and I'm glad that it found its way back home.
