Boxing up the Thorens and the Denon and storing them until you decide what to do with them sounds like a plan. That will give you time to figure out which one to keep and which one to unload. Keep one of the two to use as a back up for the VPI - you never know what can happen to even the best TT in the future and you'll be glad that you have a spare.
