I have an Elac 50H turntable that was restored by a person I hired to do the work. I will be asking him about this issue as well, but I wanted to post here to see if there are any answers. Toward the very end of the record, the tonearm skips with great frequency. It doesn't happen every time, but often, it does. It gets stuck and skips over and over again. Sometimes it will dislodge itself and advance. All other functions of the arm appear to be working flawlessly aside from the fact that sometimes when pressing the 12" button, nothing happens or there is a delay before it starts. Not sure if that's a clue or not. I'm guessing the skipping is due to something that is not adjusted properly? I've tried the same record and different records. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes it does it, sometimes it does not. It's not the record. Any ideas? For these tests, I've turned anti-skate to zero to eliminate variables.
