I have a Denon 1200 turntable and have mounted a Stanton 680 cartridge on it. Was using a generic .2 x ,7 stylus PFANSTIEHL and with pretty good results. Without brush weight set at 1.5 gms. Problem was some outer sibilance. Tried adjusting anti-skate. Decided to get LP TUNES Vivid Line diamond stylus. I think this is a hyper elliptical diamond. The LP TUNES stylus is far superior. No sibilance and I am hearing material in LPs that wasn't apparent before. For my ears I am totally satisfied. The LP TUNES Shibata stylus may sound better, but at the their price point I would get a new cartridge. My cartridge came from Ebay. The seller I bought it from tested the coils and showed the results. Any vintage cartridge should be tested. The mounting rack on the Stanton/Pickering can be bent. Make sure the body of the cartridge is perpendicular to the head shell. Properly set up the Stanton 680/681 is a wonderful cartridge.
