So long as temperatures are kept reasonable your main concern will be the fading of spines ( particularly any coloured red). That may be an issue if you have any "collectibles" as value is related to all aspects of their condition. Maybe you could store those somewhere else if there is a small number of them?

Otherwise indirect sunlight shouldn't cause a problem , after all I don't hink most record collectors live in or have their record collection stored in 24 hour darkness.
