I'm an import to this area from CT/NYC. Got into the jazz scene when I was old enough to drive my mom's car from New Haven to Greenwich Village, unbeknownst to her and my dad, of course. Came down here to work at NIH in the late 70s and have never left either place. Oddly enough, I still and always feel like a New Englander.
